NOVA SCOTIA SELECTS 1998 REGIONAL TEAM - 2010
The Nova Scotia Selects are pleased to announce that they will be introducing a 1998 Regional
Team to their spring line up this 2010 season.
This
team will be lead by well known local coach Brad MacDonald.
Head Coach – Brad MacDonald
Brad will be the Head Coach of the 2010 Nova Scotia Selects
1998 regional hockey team. We are very excited to have Brad aboard as he brings a wealth of knowledge to
the Program and his credentials are impressive.
Brad
was an elite local player in Port Hood, Cape Breton – He went on to play Major Midget, Jr.A and Senior hockey in Western
Canada.
Brad participated in the Air Canada Cup
Canadian Midget Championships and the Jr.A Centennial Cup.
Goalie Coach – Brad McCharles – Outlaw Goaltending
Brad played University, Junior A and Major
Midget hockey. Brad is a very knowledgeable goalie coach and owner of Outlaw Goaltending. Brad is a school
teacher and he relates very well with the Goalies and he is an asset for any team to have as a Goalie instructor.

Tournaments
3 very competitive tournaments- New Brunswick, PEI and Halifax
Practice Strategy
12- 1.5 hour practices @ SMC
High Intensity Practices focusing on the development of individual skills and team tactics.
Practices will also have guest instructors
Chris Donnelly(Halifax Mooseheads) Jason Troini (Halifax Mooseheads) and Brad Crossley (Dartmouth Subways) participating.
Cost – TBA - once final budget is determined
Brad’s experience and knowledge is a great attribute
to this 1998 team and will help to ensure the development of the players during an important time in their hockey careers.
Brad will be identifying possible player candidates by scouting the peewee league over the next few weeks.
